Andrew Gillman worked as an editor and director in commercials for over 20 years before becoming a TV comedy director. Peter Kay referred to him as “incredibly sardonic and very placid". He has been a visiting tutor on the Directing Commercials diploma course since 2018. He now works as a writer and producer in fiction drama. One feature film won two BAFTA Cymru awards.
