Having worked on all genre of TV programmes over an enjoyable and rewarding career, Peter remains passionate about all aspects of television and audio in all its forms. Peter has a wealth of experience and knowledge in television, and in the wider world of theatre and music recording.
Peter’s career started in music recording and moved into television. He worked through the golden age of Variety TV whilst at LWT in the 1980s (Royal Variety Shows etc). His work encompassed Outside Broadcasts both for Light Entertainment shows and large Sports events, and included a significant period of time working in Sound Post Production.
In 2012 Peter was asked to work with OBS as Assistant Audio Manager to deliver the 2012 London Olympics, followed by the next three Olympics in 2014 in Sochi, 2016 in Rio, and 2018 in Korea. Peter also mixed a World Feed output for three FIFA World Cup Finals in Rio (2014), Moscow (2018) & Doha (2022).
Since 2023 Peter has been Lead Sound Tutor at the NFTS for this Camera, Sound & Vision Mixing course, and since January 2026 has been the Course Leader, he is also the Course Leader and Sound Tutor for a BBC Apprenticeship Course running here at the NFTS.
