Tracey Murray is a writer and creative producer from South London and a recent graduate of the National Film and Television School's MA Screenwriting course, where she was awarded the Christie Prize for ‘The Most Promising Student 2025’. After starting as a development assistant at Warp Films and a commissioning assistant at the BBC, she went on to lead creative campaigns for Netflix and their global originals, including Top Boy, Money Heist, The Witcher, Too Hot To Handle and Heartstopper.
Inspired by her passion for storytelling and social change, she wrote and produced promo films for Apple x The Mayor of London’s 'Made In LDN initiative’, encouraging young people to pursue creative careers. Her versatile career is reflected in her accolades, including Ogilvy’s Visionary of the Year, a Cannes Lion, and a Campaign Big Award.
In 2025, Tracey was selected for the Leap x Channel 4 Development & Empowerment Labs.
Her NFTS graduation film, Red Egg And Ginger, had its world premiere at Tribeca Festival and screened at the BFI London Film Festival and the American Film Institute’s AFI Fest. Additionally, her stop-motion dark comedy, Death's Peak, premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and has been selected to be in competition at other BAFTA, BIFA and Oscar-qualifying festivals.
