Channel 4 / 4Skills Bursaries Return for 2026 to Support Aspiring Screen Creatives Across the UK!

The NFTS is thrilled to continue its long-running partnership with Channel 4/4Skills to offer new bursary funding for four script, and script supervision certificate courses delivered by NFTS North (in Leeds), NFTS Scotland and NFTS Cymru Wales in 2026.

Together, we’re committed to building a more diverse and inclusive screen industry across the UK, helping talented individuals from under-represented backgrounds access high-quality training and unlock new career opportunities.

Each Channel 4 / 4Skills bursary awarded will cover a proportion of course fees, making it easier than ever to study with one of the UK’s leading film schools and take your first step into the screen industries.

Who Can Apply?

 

The NFTS and Channel 4 / 4Skills are looking for applicants who share our passion for making the screen industries more equal, inclusive and representative of every voice.

Bursaries will be available to those who are eligible and can demonstrate commitment to their chosen field of training or work. Funding will be allocated based on NFTS’s assessment of the application, including financial and diversity criteria, in addition to a personal statement. 

Applicants must also be: 

  • Aged over 18
  • Resident in the UK for the last three years
  • Not in full time education when the course takes place
