The newly established Bad Wolf Bursary will support a Welsh student every two years to train on the NFTS Directing Fiction MFA, contributing £10,000 per year towards their fees, with the first award beginning in January 2027.

This new initiative reflects a shared commitment to championing Welsh creative talent and widening access to world-class film training, helping to nurture the next generation of storytellers from Wales.

Applications are now open as part of the NFTS’s next MFA intake, with a deadline of 7th May 2026.
