Production Management roles are at the heart of all film and television productions and are integral to their success. This course provides a thorough overview of how to manage a factual or documentary production and provides those attending with an introduction to the principles and practices of the work involved.
With industry experts and practical exercises this course aims to provide a detail understanding of the Production Management role.
In partnership with Screen Scotland, we are able to offer 80% bursaries for applicants for this course.
- The role, function, and responsibilities of the Production Manager
- Scheduling, budgeting and cashflows
- Preparing cost reports and progress reports
- Managing the production and its personnel including contracting cast & crew

- Delivery Requirements
This course is aimed at experienced Production Coordinators or Junior Production Managers ready to step-up. You will need to be well-organised, effective under pressure, resourceful, a problem solver, computer literate, financially minded and have good leadership skills.
You may also have a background in business/financial management, or a job with transferable skills and be looking for a career change.
