ScreenSkills Digital Effects: VFX, Graphics and Titles Training in association with NFTS Scotland

This training programme is supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions. ScreenSkills is the industry-led body for the UK’s screen industries.

This five-day film school craft course introduces participants to the theory and craft of colour correction and grading and how to achieve professional results for film and TV footage using industry standard workflows today.

Using DaVinci Resolve, participants will also master the process of importing footage and grading to exporting and rendering, as well as receive industry advice about progressing as a professional colorist.

This course is suitable for participants interested in a career in post-production, visual and/or digital effects, or are at an early stage in their post-production career.

On completion of the course the student should have a good general knowledge of modern colour grading and the three systems currently in use.

The student will learn techniques to make their grading stand out from the crowd. They will also acquire a knowledge of current trends in grading such as HDR, the ACES system and some of the more common grading workflows in use.
