Post Production for Production Roles

Content Tabs

This programme is funded by the ScreenSkills High-end Television Fund made up of contributions from high-end TV productions made in the UK.

This course will run over five half-day sessions, primarily online with an in person tour of Blazing Griffin’s post production facility.

The primary goal of the Post-Production for Production Roles course is to equip professionals in senior production roles with a better understanding of the post-production and VFX processes. Our aim is to address any knowledge gaps between the Post Production Process and Production and so the course is aimed at Producers, Line Producers, Production Managers who are keen to increase their understanding of Post Production

Post Production refers to all the tasks associated with the making of the film after filming stops.  This includes offline editing, music composition, ADR, sound design and dubbing, colour correction, online/vfx and delivery. The Post Production process is highly collaborative and can last months to years depending on the size and need of the project.

Most importantly, planning for Post should happen in prep prior to filming, not only for creative consideration but also for budget and schedule.
