NFTS Leeds is delighted to be following in the footsteps of our colleagues at NFTS Scotland, as the next Hub of the world-class National Film & Television School.
In February we welcomed 60 students as the first cohort of the new nationally recognised Craft Skills Certificates. The courses, will provide training in film and TV crafts, including construction, costume, grip, hair and make-up, lighting, and production assistant for scripted. The courses are designed to respond to increased demand across the UK’s booming film and television industries, particularly in Yorkshire. They will offer students a clear pathway into the industry, developing skills and crucially providing work placements with local industry partners including ITV and ProVision.
NFTS has partnered with local colleges to deliver the craft elements of the course. The scheme is a partnership with Screen Yorkshire, supported by Screen Skills with funding from BFI.
NFTS Leeds will be delivering a wide range of the National Film and Television School’s world-class training courses, whilst offering bespoke courses, designed and delivered to support the breadth of talent in Yorkshire and the North.
With the current Covid19 pandemic stopping us doing any face to face delivery, you can express interest in any of our courses listed, or just email us with any suggestions of courses you might like to see. Also over the coming months, we will be offer “Bite-Size” 2 hour, online modules from some of our longer form courses.
