Course Tutor:
Nicky Huggett is a Strategic Development Consultant working for companies such as Dragonfly and Blue Cuckoo Pictures. She was previously VP of Factual Development at Nutopia, known for series such as Nat Geo’s Limitless with Chris Hemsworth and History Channel’s Secrets Declassified with David Duchovny.
She previously ran the development team at HiddenLight, the independent production company founded in 2020 by Hillary Clinton, her daughter Chelsea and Sam Branson. There she ran the factual slate, developing projects such as Emmy-award winning feature documentary In Her Hands for Netflix, and Gutsy, the Apple TV+ boxset featuring talent such as Amy Schumer and Kate Hudson.
Nicky has worked in development for 20 years, across a range of genres and channels – specialising in generating ideas for the global streamers. She has also worked as a documentary producer, for which she has been nominated for a Broadcast and a Grierson award.
