This course is for those who would like to build their skills and confidence when directing actors. Its aim is to expand and refine your ‘toolkit’ of approaches, provide a language and vocabulary that is accessible and enable effective communication with actors from casting to rehearsals and onto the set.
At the end of the two days, you should be able to efficiently focus and alter an actor’s performance in order to aid the story you want to tell and do so with tact and sensitivity.
About the tutor: Catherine Linstrum is a director and writer who has created and delivered workshops for over twenty years. She has delivered training for actors and directors in theatre schools such as Bristol Old Vic and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and has taught directing to university students at undergraduate and post-graduate level.
