The course is structured around reviewing clips, discussion and demonstrations so that you will come away with a better understanding of both the why and how of writing good scripts, backed up by a handy list of dos and don’ts.

About the tutor:
Patrick Uden made his name as a director and documentary maker at the BBC where his credits included Horizon and Forty Minutes. Patrick set up his own pioneering production company Uden Associates before becoming the creative force behind Channel 4's Bafta-winning documentary upload website Four Docs. More recently, he has worked as a consultant executive producer on some of television's most successful series including The Apprentice, The Restaurant, and Junior Doctors.
You’ll learn how to construct scripts and how to rewrite poor or draft scripts so that they enhance the synch and empower your pictures. Patrick will also look at the importance of script layout to get maximum impact from your commentary recording session.
With plenty of opportunities for Q & A throughout the session, this course will give you the confidence to tackle one of most vital but underestimated skills in television production.
