Delivered over 8 weeks (1 evening a week) this online course will provide new creative producers with an understanding of how to build a slate when not sure how to begin, and a chance to explore whether this is their route into the industry.
If you have a script, story or beginnings of an idea you can learn how to develop it and pitch it. Then, through collaborating with other participants, you'll see what the filmmaking process looks like by following the journey of a proposal - from story idea to screen.
Karen Stirgwolt was a producer on Runaway Bride - one of the highest grossing romantic comedies of all time - starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. She produced four other films with Garry Marshall and a documentary for Showtime with Liz Garbus. She continues to develop projects in London and LA - most recently a series based on her original short film starring Gina Bramhill and Emmett Scanlan and an award winning short starring Eloise Smyth and Bill Milner.
