Film Distribution and International Sales

Content Tabs

You’ve made a movie, now what?

This short introduction to distribution and international sales will cover studio and independent business models, the basics of domestic and foreign film distribution, and the stakeholders involved in each section of the traditional and digital value chains.

It will also break down the various types of rights and revenue streams you are likely to find in a royalty report and give you the confidence you need to discuss a project with distribution executives.

This is the time to sell the dream of your film and position it like a pro in the marketplace.

The workshop will cover how to create the perfect pitch deck, ask the right questions to place your film where its audience is going to see it, the dos and don'ts at markets and pitching to distributors.

It includes a practical case study on what makes a good look book to help producers and filmmakers position their movie as a ‘product’ in the marketplace as well as covering the key themes and terms of independent film finance, analysing sales and distribution contacts and taking the fear out of the delivery schedule.
