Successful First Year for Glasgow Based Film, Television and Games School Hub, NFTS Scotland

NFTS reports that NFTS Scotland, its new hub based at BBC Scotland in Glasgow has had a successful first year with over 22 courses completed and over 170 course participants, half of which have received bursary-supported places. Course participants are expected to grow to over 400 per year once NFTS Scotland is running at full capacity.

Trio of NFTS Grad Films Shortlisted for 2019 BAFTA Student Film Awards in LA

A trio of NFTS graduation films have been shortlisted for the 2019 BAFTA student Film Awards in Los Angeles -  Azaar directed by NFTS Directing Fiction MA graduate Myriam Raja, Heatwave directed by NFTS Directing Animation graduate Fokion Xenos, and November 1st directed by NFTS Directing Fiction MA graduate Charlie Manton.

NFTS grad wins Daytime Emmy Award as part of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Team’

NFTS Television Diploma alumnus Michael Altman celebrated an exciting evening at the Daytime Emmy Awards with The Ellen DeGeneres Show team who won their seventh ‘Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show’ award. Michael has produced over 150 episodes of the television variety comedy talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, since 2017.

NFTS Natural History MA Student Wins Scientific Merit Award at Scinema International Science Festival in Adelaide

NFTS Directing and Producing Science and Natural History MA student, Juliette Martineau has won a prestigious Scientific Merit Award for her first year film, 'Smart Slime' at the Scinema international Science Festival in Adelaide beating stiff competition from the likes of the BBC and National Geographic.
