NFTS Named as Top Five Animation School in the World in 2019 Animation Career Review

The NFTS has been named as one of the top five animation schools in the world in this year’s Animation Career Review 2019 School Rankings list. Both our Directing Animation MA and our new Model Making for Animation Diploma courses are highlighted in the list and the School is named number four in the world and number two in Europe.

A group of Assistant Directors and industry colleagues have got together to run a Tough Mudder to raise funds for a brand new bursary scheme project, which will raise money to enable people from low income backgrounds to study at NFTS Scotland.

Once again, NFTS has more nominations than any other institution in this year’s Royal Television Society (RTS) Student Television Awards with nominations in the ‘Postgraduate Drama’, ‘Postgraduate Factual’, ‘Postgraduate Short Form and ‘Postgraduate Comedy & Entertainment’ categories.

Six Edinburgh Film Festival 2019 Selections for NFTS Students

An incredible six NFTS graduation films have been selected for this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival, which takes place between the 19th and 30th June. NFTS graduation animations, Almost There directed by Nelly Michenaud, Heatwave, directed by Fokion Xenos and One Liner, directed by Ian Plinth will compete for the ‘Mclaren Award for Best New Animation’.
