- Comic Character
- Structure - because it's even more important in comedy
- Comic Tone - and how to find it
- How to come up with a funny idea (that's actually funny)
- Formats: sitcoms, features, series
- Comedy collaboration - how to co-write or work in a team
About the Tutor:
Hannah Robinson is an award winning screenwriter and script consultant who specialises in comedy drama. Hannah is currently working with Sir Lenny Henry and Russell T Davies.
During this course, you will cover:
- Why we laugh and what we're laughing at

- Comic Character - (this should probably come before structure)
- Comic Tone - and how to find it
- How to come up with a funny idea (that's actually funny)
- Formats: sitcoms, features, series

Bursaries, supported by Screen Scotland, to contribute to the costs of attending this course may be available to those who are eligible. Please read the bursary guidelines which are published below first to check if you are eligible. If you are eligible, please indicate if you are also applying for a bursary or not.
