Part-Time Courses at the NFTS
The NFTS runs more than 30 MA, Diploma and Certificate courses - as well as numerous short courses - across a range of film, television and games disciplines. We have more behind the camera courses than any other film school in the world, including core craft areas such as directing and cinematography as well as specialist areas such as script supervision and production accounting.
We run a variety of courses to suit a wide range of needs and backgrounds.
Here are our current list of part-time courses.
Our part time diplomas range from 6 months to 18 months in length. We currently offer 7 part time diplomas course, run across our Beaconsfield, London, Leeds and Scotland (Glasgow) locations.
While many applicants will have an undergraduate degree, theses course are open to those with impressive portfolios, a creative track record or alternative qualifications. The part time diplomas also suit those already working in the industry and looking to develop their skills and knowledge further.

Our certificate courses are run in a variety of formats, from 8 weeks to 9 months, some are short intensive full time courses, and others offer part time study. Certificate courses are run across all our locations along with partner organisations such as Aardman in Bristol.
Applicants must be 18 or over to apply for this course. While there are no specific educational requirements, you should have a good general education, a real passion for the field and an eagerness to pursue a career in it.
